Our need for Faith & How to be saved
How to be saved and have eternal life
To be saved and born again, start by admitting that you're a sinner. We've all fallen short of God's perfect standard. Acknowledge your sin and your need for a Savior. Next, believe in your heart that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah (Christ), the Son of God who died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins and rose again, conquering sin and death. Put your faith completely in Him and what He did for you, not in your own good works. Finally, confess your sins to God, turning from them in repentance. Ask Yeshua (Jesus) to forgive you and invite Him to come into your heart and life as your Lord and Savior. When you do this with sincerity, you will be forgiven, saved from your sins, and born again spiritually with a new heart and eternal life. You become a new creation in Messiah through the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of you.
What is Faith?
Faith is a powerful force that allows us to believe in and trust things we cannot physically see or touch. It is the assurance of what we hope for, the conviction of the reality of the unseen. By faith, we understand that God spoke the universe into existence, so that everything we can perceive with our senses came from things imperceptible. Faith is essential to pleasing God, for whoever would draw near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Faith makes the intangible real to us. More than mere intellectual belief, faith is a faculty of the human spirit that causes the realities of the spiritual realm to become as substantive to us as the material world we inhabit. It takes the things of eternity and makes them as vivid and sure to us as if we could behold them with our natural eyes. Faith bridges the gap between two realms, bringing the unseen realm of the spirit into our experience just as concretely as the visible world around us.
